Competa Escapes are specialists in helping you find the perfect holiday in Cómpeta. Sun lovers, walkers, cyclists, photographers and foodies love to holiday in this warm and welcoming friendly pueblo. With the three houses all within minutes of each other they also offer the perfect base for group celebrations. Sleeping up to 12 across the three houses. Travel with friends or family without living on top of each other! It’s the perfect solution to group travel needs.

Why Competa?

We first stumbled across Competa in 2017 and we instantly fell in love with its charm and beauty. Following an extensive search for a new home, nowhere pulled on the heartstrings quite like Competa. Having run a successful 13 bed hotel in England, we knew that we wanted our new life in Spain to involve hospitality. Competa with its beautifully paved streets, scented flowers adorning the balconies of the white townhouses and mountain views fitted our requirements perfectly and we were instantly smitten.

Luckily our guests feel the same, you will see we have 5 star reviews across the properties and many of our guests return here for their holiday as they have enjoyed their stays so much.

What is on offer?

Luxury with a homely feel..

No 9 was the first townhouse in our portfolio. A 2 bed ensuite townhouse, tucked away in the corner of the main square. This house has a slightly Moroccan vibe with a courtyard pool. It also overlooks Plaza Almijara, one of the best views in town.

No 17 was next to join the portfolio. Another 2 bed with a Spanish come Scandi feel and a rooftop pool with 360º views of the mountains and down to the coast. It’s tucked away in a quiet street, just a hop to the square.

In 2022, No 8 joined the portfolio, our biggest project yet. It offers the main townhouse with 3 ensuite bedrooms along with an adjoining one bedroom apartment with a roll top bath and walk in shower. Along with a king size sofa bed in the lounge.

All three houses are situated at three points in the centre of the pueblo, with only a moments walk between them. So ideal as a base for group holidays and family celebrations.

All the townhouses are located within a few steps of the Main Square, Plaza Almijara, making them the ideal base to explore Andalucia and the surrounding areas.

They offer the perfect combination, self catering holiday rentals with everything you find in villas with pools but with Competa right outside your door. No need for taxis or designated drivers, everything is just a few steps away.

We also use our wealth of knowledge of local providers to offer you add-ons to your holiday. Whether you want to indulge in yoga, massages, beauty treatments or activities such as guided tours, jeep safaris, kayaking or canyoning then we can pair you with an expert and make your escape perfect! We can help you to build the ideal retreat break for you, art, yoga, health & well being, walks & nature, culture tours, foodie week – you name it – we can arrange it.
